Clientcase: Cargo Service Europe (CSE)
No matter how fast CSE is growing, their WMS keeps up
Cargo Service Europe (CSE) in Oss, experienced a significant growth in a short period. The logistics service provider has around 55,000 pallets in storage. And their ambitions for the near future (85,000 pallets) are crystal clear. Vanboxtel’s warehouse management system and hardware ensure that CSE is ready for today as well as for tomorrow.
Huge volumes
CSE takes care of the storage of empty cans and supplies them to clients in the food and beverage industry. Jeroen Sas of CSE: “We have huge volumes and are growing rapidly – we expect to have 85,000 pallets in storage before long – but our logistics process is rather simple. During our search for a good WMS we came across Vanboxtel. Many software programs from other suppliers proved to be too complicated for our process. Together with Vanboxtel we have organised our system exactly as we need it. And another plus: it is scalable.” By now, the WMS is already running on two CSE sites, in Born and Weert.
From hand-held terminal to data exchange: everything is managed in-house
“Previously, our technical infrastructure could not be managed properly,” Jeroen says. “We used the package of our customers, with a different network solution for each customer. Support and expansion were difficult with different suppliers and solutions. If something went wrong, it was difficult to find the cause and we would not know who to call. Fortunately, this has been solved now.” Vanboxtel manages not only the WMS, but also all associated technical components. Such as the hand-held terminals, the wireless and the fixed network, the firewall and the cloud platform.
Implementation within a short amount of time
Jeroen: “We were just engaged in talks with Vanboxtel when a new big client came along. That is why the WMS had to be up and running within a short period of time. But when Vanboxtel visited our site, they soon saw that they would have to provide a new network solution as well. No matter the implementation, including the cloud set-up, network infrastructure and cabling went very smoothly in a very short amount of time. In one or two weeks the WMS was operational from A to Z.”
24/7 support
Foolproof. That is what Jeroen Sas calls the WMS. “It is almost impossible to deliver or deposit the wrong goods. What’s also very important within the food industry: correct registration. The huge volumes sometimes put us to the test, but the processess are running flawlessly. So far, there have not been any hiccups either. And should there be a breakdown, then it is good to know that we can count on Vanboxtel 24/7 for support.”
